Guest Napper #142: Soporific Sandwich

This picture really resonates with me as I finish my first week back on Weight Watchers. Because I am in the zone, people, and no PB&J is gonna break-a my stride!

Willpower. Get some, people.

Oh, you can take most of the crust off. You can cut it into wee, tempting little bite sized pieces. But I know in my heart that every one of those “fun-size” pieces is at least a point. Probably ten. And no amount of activity points is gonna make that worthwhile.

And she’s not eating it either. Even though she’s never even heard of Weight Watchers.

Look. She’s so bored with it, she’s asleep. Peanut butter has no power over us.

Onward.

Guest Napper #141: Lethargic Laundry

We’ve packed away the holiday decorations, but I’ve noticed there’s one other mountain of stuff that I’ve still got left over from December.

The laundry.

Oddly, it is almost entirely composed to children’s pajamas, which we appear to have been wearing non-stop for weeks.

This little guy appears to feel similarly overwhelmed by the pile of pajamas at his house. I mean, it’s a lot to get done in conjunction with all the New Year’s gym visits, portion counting, and efforts to organize every closet in the house.

Lollygagging in the Laundry

I am resolved to finish my own laundry. Right after I take this nap.

Happy New Year from Naps Happen!

Guest Napper #140: Sleep, Don’t Eat

It’s right about this time of December every year when my misbehavior catches up with me. Quite simply, I cannot eat another bite.

Almost.

Anyway, this little guy has slid underneath his parents’ kitchen table while they were putting his brother to bed, and he appears to be pretty much done with dinner. In any event, he does seem half ready to put on his pajamas.

Shhh! Don’t tell the meal I’m down here!

I am resolved to be done with dinner, too. Just after this one last bite of leftovers.

Hang in there – New Year’s Resolutions are on the horizon!

Guest Napper #139: CAT NAP (really)

This blog has been going for years now. How can it have taken us this long to post a cat nap?

I might consider putting my head at the other end.

Dozing dogs, we’ve had aplenty. Why not a furry feline?

Wherever you find comfort this festive (and sometimes furry) season, try to make sure you’re not on the bottom of the dog…er…the cat pile. Just, you know, something to think about.

Happy Holidays!
